The Big Winners

The BAFTA Games Awards 2024 has crowned its champions at a ceremony in London, with Baldur’s Gate 3 stealing the show.

Baldur’s Gate 3, developed by Larian Studios, clinched five awards, including the prestigious Best Game and Players’ Choice accolades.

Notable Wins

The RPG sensation also secured victories in the Music and Narrative categories, while Andrew Wincott's performance in the game landed him the Performer in a Supporting Role Award.

Having received a whopping 11 nominations, Baldur’s Gate 3's dominance was no shock, with recognition across various categories.

Other Standouts

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, a fan favorite with nine nominations, managed to snag an award for Nadji Jeter's portrayal of Miles Morales.

Alan Wake 2 was also a double award-winner, celebrating achievements in Artistic and Audio Excellence.

Cyberpunk 2077’s expansion, Phantom Liberty, earned CD Projekt Red the Evolving Game Award, marking a redemption from its turbulent launch.

The BAFTA Special Award was bestowed upon gaming charity SpecialEffect for its commendable efforts in enabling gamers with disabilities.

Additional Victors

Super Mario Bros. Wonder and the British indie game Viewfinder also made their mark by each clinching two BAFTA Awards.

The Players’ Choice category, sponsored by EE, allowed the public to vote for their favorite game from a selected shortlist.

Apart from the winners, fans had the chance to cast their votes for other top titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Fortnite, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Lethal Company, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
