Argos restocked the PlayStation 5 early on Thursday morning, sparking an online frenzy from frantic gamers

But scores of customers were left disappointed after they paid for the machine, which costs up to £450, and later received an email saying the order was cancelled.

Now the unlucky buyers will have to wait up to seven working days to receive their money back following the major Argos bungle.

Some shoppers have even claimed they’ve been charged up to three times for the product – leaving them waiting on almost £1,500 to be refunded just weeks before Christmas.

Argos have been inundated with complaints on their social media pages from raging customers, demanding their money back.
