Co-Founder Jaynti Kanani Takes a Step Back, Focusing on "New Adventures"
Jaynti Kanani, one of the co-founders of Polygon, has announced that he is stepping back from his day-to-day involvement in the project for the first time in six years. In a recent Twitter thread, Kanani stated that while he will continue to contribute to Polygon "from the sidelines," he is excited to focus on new adventures outside of the project. Kanani, along with software engineers Sandeep Nailwal, Anurag Arjun, and Mihailo Bjelic, played a crucial role in the founding of the Matic network in 2017, which was later rebranded as Polygon.
Polygon Co-Founder Receives Emotional Response
The news of Kanani's decision prompted an emotional response from fellow co-founder Sandeep Nailwal. In a response tweet, Nailwal expressed his gratitude for the time they have spent together on this journey. While Nailwal wishes they could have done more together, he supports Kanani's decision to pursue new ventures.
Polygon 2.0 Transition: Improvement Proposals and Development
Polygon Labs, the team behind the project, has begun accepting improvement proposals as part of the transition to Polygon 2.0. Plans for Polygon 2.0 were announced in June and include the implementation of zero-knowledge proofs. The new ecosystem will consist of four protocol layers that focus on staking, interoperability, execution, and proving. Currently, developers are hard at work, bringing Polygon 2.0 to life.
