Bitget's Hong Kong division, BitgetX, to Cease Operations

Cryptocurrency trading platform Bitget has announced that it will not pursue a Virtual Asset Trading Platform (VATP) license in Hong Kong. The company, citing business and market-related considerations, has decided to permanently withdraw from the Hong Kong market. As a result, Bitget's Hong Kong division, BitgetX, accessible via the domain BitgetX.hk, will cease operations by December 13, 2023.

Users Encouraged to Withdraw Crypto Assets

In light of the withdrawal, Bitget has urged its users to withdraw their crypto assets from BitgetX before December 13. After this date, the BitgetX website will no longer be accessible, and users will not be able to manage or access their assets on the platform.

This is a developing story, and further information will be provided as it becomes available.
