ShuttleFlow Technology Transferred to Zero Gravity
The Conflux Foundation, also known as the Shanghai Tree-Graph Blockchain Research Institute, has announced the shutdown of its ecosystem multichain protocol, ShuttleFlow, after two years of operation. However, the technology stack of ShuttleFlow will be transferred to Web3 studio Zero Gravity, which will continue to develop the protocol under a new brand. Developers have assured users that all funds are secure and will be migrated from ShuttleFlow to Zero Gravity. Users who have previously bridged assets through ShuttleFlow and completed the claim process on the destination chain do not need to take any additional actions for the migration.
Bridge Through Zero Gravity
Once ShuttleFlow shuts down its bridging services, users will have the option to bridge assets by using Zero Gravity's official decentralized application (dApp) or continue using the bridging aggregator, which will integrate Zero Gravity upon its launch. This ensures a seamless transition for users.
Partial Operation Until January 2024
The ShuttleFlow dApp will remain partially operational until January 2024. During this period, users who have bridged assets but have not yet claimed them will be able to retrieve their assets. However, after January 2024, the ShuttleFlow website and servers will be permanently removed.
Conflux's Previous Endeavors
In 2021, Conflux introduced the ShuttleFlow asset bridge to facilitate the onboarding of its ecosystem users to decentralized finance. The company boasted a proof-of-work algorithm that allowed for protocol transactions of up to 6,000 per second. Additionally, Conflux Foundation announced a partnership earlier this year with China Telecom, the country's second-largest telecom provider, with over 390 million users. The partnership aimed to develop a blockchain SIM card.
A Regulatory-Compliant Public Blockchain
Conflux is a layer-1 blockchain that operates on a hybrid proof-of-work and proof-of-stake consensus. Its parent organization, the Shanghai Tree-Graph Blockchain Research Institute, receives support from the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. Conflux claims to be the only regulatory-compliant public blockchain in China.
