Antpool to Refund 83 BTC Gas Fee to Affected User

What Happened?

The cryptocurrency mining platform Antpool recently announced that it will be refunding a gas fee of 83 Bitcoin (BTC) to an affected user. The fee was temporarily frozen by Antpool's risk control system during the transaction packaging process.

How to Get a Refund

The affected user has until December 10th, 00:00 (UTC+8), to submit their details to Antpool. They can do this by using a signing tool such as Electrum or Bitcoin Core, and signing a message with the code "AntPool" using the private key of a wallet address provided by Antpool.

The Cost of the Gas Fee

The gas fee in question was charged to a Bitcoin user on November 23rd. At the time, the fee amounted to approximately $3.1 million for a transfer of 139 BTC.
