We’re urging all eligible Brits to get their Covid booster jabs as soon as they can

Vulnerable Irene Turi, 92, could not secure one until Trending In The News stepped in.

She said: “My doctor kept telling me they didn’t have any boosters available. I got the feeling they were making excuses.”

Within half an hour of Trending In The News approaching the NHS she received a call from her GP who will visit her home in two weeks.

Irene, from Chadwell Heath, East London, said: “Thanks to Trending In The News for helping me. I hope others have more luck than I did.”

Around 6.5million people are eligible including those with underlying conditions and Brits aged 50-plus who had their second jab at least six months ago.

The NHS said: “Over four million have already received their top-up jab, with around 5.5million people invited and almost two million more due to get their invite this week.

“People who are eligible can book via the national booking service or by calling 119.”
