Kate Middleton reveals she’s found parenting ‘exhausting’ during lockdown

THE Duchess of Cambridge yesterday revealed she has been giving her kids DIY haircuts — much to their horror — but has found parenting exhausting during lockdown.

Kate made the confession in a video chat with mums, dads and teachers about mental health.

A rare moment of public affection saw her praise Prince William for being her “biggest support”.

But when asked to write down a word that describes experiences of looking after their children, Kate held up a piece of paper that read: “Exhausting.”

Wills, 38, and Kate, 39, have been homeschooling George, seven, Charlotte, five, and Louis, two, at their home at Anmer Hall, Norfolk.

She urged others to “reach out to loved ones and friends” to help deal with their mental health.

Her Early Years survey in November revealed parental loneliness increased from 38 per cent to 63 per cent during the pandemic.

The Duchess said yesterday: “You have the day-to-day elements of being a parent but in lockdown we have had to take on additional roles that others in our communities would have supported us with.

“I feel pulled in so many directions. You try your best with everything but I do feel exhausted.”

Kate interacted with head Melissa Loosemore and parents from Roe Green Junior School, Brent, North London. She scored herself a lowly minus-5 for her maths teaching.
