A MUM with Covid was put in a coma straight after giving birth and did not meet her baby for five weeks.
Erem Ali was 31 weeks pregnant when admitted to hospital but became so ill son Zorayz was delivered by caesarean.
When she woke, the mum of three had no memory of the op and was too sick to see Zorayz, now a year old.
Erem, 29, from Surrey, said: “It’s terrifying how close to death I was.
She added: “When I came round and they told me I had the baby I was so confused.
“I didn’t have any memory of the c-section or giving birth. It was horrific.
“I was still struggling to breathe, and I wasn’t allowed to see my baby.
“Seeing him for the first time after over a month was so relieving, but I feel sad that I missed out on the first part of his life.”
