A SKEPTICAL Candace Owens has accused Donald Trump Jr of pretending to be infected with coronavirus.
She slammed him on Twitter for being “perfectly healthy”, while dismissing the bug – which has killed 250,000 Americans – as a “scam”.
Donald Trump Jr., the son of President Donald Trump, tested positive for Covid-19 this week.
He confirmed he has Covid and revealed he’ll spend his time in quarantine cleaning guns and watching Netflix.
But he is experiencing no symptoms, according to his spokesman.
However this revelation prompted a scathing response from outspoken Owens.
She fumed on Twitter: “Wish I could send @DonaldJTrumpJr a genuine ‘get well soon’ message.
“But like millions of others American he’s perfectly healthy with absolutely no symptoms, despite a test telling him that he’s sick.
“Most ridiculous scam in the entire world. Covid-1984.”
While some applauded her stance on the killer virus, Jason Varnon replied: “Well, my wife and I just had it, and it was very serious.
“This is an irresponsible tweet. It belittles those who have struggled and/or died from this disease.”
Trump Jr. tested positive at the start of the week and has been “quarantining at his cabin since the result,” his spokesman said.
“He’s been completely asymptomatic so far and is following all medically recommended Covid-19 guidelines,” he added.
Don Jr shared a video to Instagram on Friday night after news spread that he tested positive for coronavirus just months after his dad and girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle were infected.
He said: “Got the Rona. I’m totally asymptomatic.
“Going to give it a couple days of quarantine and follow the protocols then get retested in case it was a false positive as I feel and have felt totally fine.”
Andrew Giuliani, the son of the president’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, also said he tested positive for the coronavirus on Friday.
In early October, right-wing controversialist Owens took to Twitter to show her support for Trump during his coronavirus battle, after he was discharged from Walter Reed hospital just 72 hours after his admission.
The conservative commentator wrote. “Americans want to be unmasked and reopened.
“The fear of Covid has subsided and been replaced with a deeper fear of government overreach.”
She added at the time: “Trump is winning on this issue, BIGLY,” followed by the hashtag: “UnMaskAmerica.”
Daily Covid-19 deaths in the US reached their highest level since May, reported the Associated Press on Friday.
The news agency said the country is now averaging more than 1,300 Covid-19 deaths per day.
The overall US death toll has reached about 254,000, by far the most in the world.
Confirmed infections have eclipsed more than 11.8 million, after the biggest one-day gain on record Thursday – almost 188,000.
And the number of people in the hospital with Covid-19 hit another all-time high at more than 80,000.
Health experts are deeply afraid that Thanksgiving travel and holiday gatherings next week will fuel the spread of the virus.
To slow down the spread, many states and cities are imposing near-lockdowns or other restrictions.
California ordered a 10pm-to 5am curfew starting Saturday, covering 94 per cent of the state’s 40 million residents.
Owen’s tweet about the virus comes days after she doubled down on her criticism of Harry Styles wearing a dress on the cover of Vogue – and repeated her demand to “bring back manly men“.
