Dismissed Symptoms

A young woman, Jessie-Mae Lambert, 27, was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour after doctors initially dismissed her symptoms as panic attacks. Her mother recognized the symptoms as cancer-related.

Recognizing the Issue

When experiencing strange sensations and visual disturbances, Jessie-Mae sought medical help only to be told it was anxiety. Her mother's insistence led to the discovery of a Grade 2 astrocytoma brain tumour.

Treatment Journey

After a six-hour surgery that removed 40% of the tumour, Jessie-Mae underwent radiotherapy. Despite the challenges, she remains positive and urges others to trust their instincts and seek a second opinion for health concerns.

Raising Awareness

Jessie-Mae documented her treatment journey on TikTok to raise awareness of brain tumour symptoms and support others facing similar struggles. She emphasizes the importance of advocating for one's health and not taking no for an answer.
