Self-Medication with Paracetamol and Ibuprofen
A woman, Rebecca Dorman, 33, attributed her back pain to her E cup boobs and self-medicated with paracetamol and ibuprofen for nearly two years before finding out it was cancer.
Diagnosis and Treatment
After experiencing unbearable itching and swollen lymph nodes, Rebecca sought medical help and was diagnosed with stage four classical Hodgkin lymphoma. She began chemotherapy immediately and will continue treatment until March.
Sharing Her Story
Rebecca is sharing her story to encourage others with similar symptoms to seek medical attention early. Despite challenges like losing sensation in her fingers due to chemotherapy, she remains hopeful for remission.
Road to Remission
An interim PET scan showed that the cancer had completely gone from some areas but remains in her groin. Rebecca will continue treatment and hopes for positive results by April or May.
